Some of my works in progress at the moment, taking advantage of the lovely sunlight to do some hand painted artworks, which I hope to take through CAD to become a collection of fabrics and wallcoverings.
So I tried to save the cranes for a rainy day but they kept niggling me to do something with them, so I've come up with a couple of ideas, one in a tight grid which I think could be really nice in a children's room or a nursery. I'm in the process of coming up with some alternative colour ways to make it a bit more grown up. The other design in the hanging arrangement could perhaps be a bit more versatile and may work in a dining or living room.
I was struck with brainwave yesterday, all be it a rather time consuming and engrossing one, but decided to fold about a million Japanese paper cranes. After photographing them and putting them into layers in Photoshop I think perhaps there might be something in them, so going to keep them in the back of my mind for a rainy day.
Finally got round to doing some visuals for my most recent designs. This is just a really good way to get a sense of the scale of a design and what kind of environments they work best in.
