Preparatory Sketches
ORCHIDS
Today I received some very special flowers, which are more than worthy of immortalisation in one of my designs! This drawing combines some of the sketches I have begun in Illustrator and will eventually become a new wallpaper design.
19/9/2010: A long time coming and still in progress - Inspired by a favourite British design movement, Festival conjures up images of the Age of the New Machine, where science, streamlining and everything atomical had an effect on great British design. Still needs work to achieve the look of true '50s style, a bit 'kids bedroom' as it stands.
6/8/2010: Latest design for wallpaper inspired by surrealism and trompe l'oeil, using a zip motif to break up a super-traditional stripe

11/8/2010: Wall Bugs - A contemporary wall and flooring concept which brings an oversized insect silhouette into the substance of a space. In bold black, this design is about impact and is intended to give viewers a 'fly's eye view' of an environment.
